Selena Gomez has said that talking about money is “disgusting.” 

The 32-year-old Rare Beauty mogul recently showed off her hot dance moves. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she talked about the success of her brand in response to being called a billionaire. 

She told him, “Thank you very much,” on Monday night. “I find it unpleasant to talk about money, but I feel that the people who buy my products deserve all the credit.”

“They made this dream of mine come true,” she said. That makes me very, very proud and happy. 

Bloomberg said on September 6 that the multihyphenate is worth more than $1.3 billion, making her the first person on their list of billionaires. 

The outlet says that since Rare Beauty launched in September 2020, it has become very popular with Gen Z and influencers, and it makes up “vast bulk” of Gomez’s wealth.

She also made a lot of money from her acting career, which included parts on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, and her Grammy-winning music career.

She also sees success in working with and endorsing a lot of brands. 

The data company said that Gomez made about 81% of her money from her role in the beauty business. 

Endorsements bring in 6.9% of her wealth while travelling brings in 4.8%.

Time reported earlier this year that Rare Beauty is one of the best-selling items at Sephora and has been moving up the ranks every year with more sales.

If someone said in May that Selena was going to sell her makeup business when it got to $2 billion in worth, she hit back. 

“I don’t have any plans to do that,” the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber said.

“I’ll be honest: it sometimes stresses me out.” I have this strange feeling that if I think about numbers, I’ll forget what made Rare Beauty truly unique. “I never meant for it to be just about making a lot of money,” she said.

Rare Beauty went on X just hours before Selena to talk about the return of Make A Rare Impact, a special fundraiser for World Mental Health Day on October 10.
