In a recent photo shoot, Will Smith appeared to be in a cheerful mood.
On Monday, September 23, the actor was seen exiting Soho House in Malibu. He was dressed casually, wearing a navy blue shirt, matching jeans, and red and black sneakers. He held a screenplay in his hand and gave the cameras a quick smile and peace sign.
This appearance coincides with Sean “Diddy” Combs’s arrest and indictment from the previous week. Like many other celebrities, Will has remained silent about Diddy and the allegations. However, Diddy refuted a story concerning the King Richard star and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith in a recently rediscovered video featuring the disgraced music tycoon.
Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in October 2023 to promote The Love Album, his fifth studio album. In order to set the record straight, the late-night presenter brought up a story that Will and Jada attempted to court Jennifer Lopez as a threesome while she was dating Diddy from 1999 to 2001.
The story began when Gene Deal, the former security guard for The Bad Boy CEO, claimed on an episode of The Art of Dialogue that Diddy had told him about Will and Jada’s plan to “scoop up” J.Lo.
Jimmy inquired: “I saw a guy online the other day who claimed to be your former security guard. He said that Will Smith and Jada attempted to pick up J. Lo when you were dating her, and you were going to beat up Will Smith.” Is that accurate?
Following a brief period of silently watching, Diddy shot back, saying, “This show has gotten crazier since the last time I was here.”
Jimmy questioned him once more, to which Diddy replied, “No! No, did you truly hear that? In response, the comedian said he had heard it online. In closing, Diddy admitted to Jimmy that he had no idea what he was talking about and that he had assumed they were buddies.
Page Six revealed in May that a source had handed them a 1998 VHS video that acted as an invitation for Diddy’s 29th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day, so this wasn’t their only recent link. The 55-year-old Oscar winner was one of several well-known personalities included in the nearly six-minute film, which also promoted the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day celebration and asked viewers to RSVP.
Diddy was detained and charged with 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking, racketeering, and providing transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution in New York City last week. He was charged with operating a “criminal enterprise” that threatened, harassed, and injured women and other people in the 14-page indictment. The 54-year-old was twice denied bail and is currently being held in federal custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center while he awaits trial. He has entered a not guilty plea and refuted earlier accusations made against him.
